In him You are Glorified!
Those who choose to be foster families for the children entrusted to Covenant Care are a gift from God. They are servants who make sacrifices for the well being of a child who will only be a part of their lives for a short time. Because they have their own children as well, they know the privilege that has been given to them by God. These families know that children are a miracle from God, and they treat them as though they are their own for the sake of God’s glory and the welfare of a new creation of His hand. Covenant Care recognizes the invaluable role that these families play in our ministry. Join with us in praying for God to bless and strengthen our foster families, and if you know one of these families please encourage them in their ministry to Covenant Care.
Also, consider the words from the heart of one “foster father” who wrote the words of this song for the baby he cared for over several months before placing him in the arms of the parents who will care for him from now on.
Lord, thank You for this precious child, the miracle of birth.
When we received this little boy, our joy could fill the earth.
Before he came we thought we knew just how strong love could be.
But You revealed a love so deep, a love we could not see.
This love is from Your throne above; It’s sacred and divine.
And as I hold this treasured one I can’t believe he’s mine.
And yet I know he’s really Yours; I’m thankful for your grace.
Sometimes when he smiles at me I think I see Your face.
Lord keep him in Your tender care and help him grow to see,
That his life is a gift from You, that you have set him free!
Keep him in Your mercy. In your truth may he abide.
Help him see his fullest joy is when in him You are glorified.
Lord, even now, in him You are glorified!
