Covenant Care opened its first satellite office in Athens in 1991. Located within walking distance of the University of Georgia campus, we are a resource not just for UGA students but for all women in Athens-Clarke County and the surrounding areas who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.
In seeking to most effectively serve all of Georgia, we rely on volunteer Advisory Boards to provide local leadership in key metro areas throughout the state. The Athens Advisory Board provides local leadership primarily in the areas of community awareness, fundraising, and event planning.
We welcome those in Athens and the surrounding counties to partner with us in the following ways:
- Financial donations. We are working toward the goal of seeing donations from the Athens community cover the expenses of our ministry in Athens. Click here to donate now.
- Volunteer. We primarily need volunteers to serve on our local Advisory Board, and to enable our community-wide fundraising events each spring and fall. We also need individuals who are notaries to volunteer their time to witness signing of legal documents from time to time.
- Spread the word. We welcome invitations to present Covenant Care’s ministry to on-campus groups at UGA, churches, medical clinics, schools, and other groups in Athens-Clarke County.
Please contact us if you would like to learn more about partnership opportunities in Athens, or if you would like to speak with a member of our local staff or Advisory Board.
