“Every time I tell someone my story, I am almost always asked, “How did you do that?” followed quickly by “I don’t think I ever could.” Adoption was the only option for me. I am not going to lie; I did look at an abortion clinic or two. God had a bigger plan for me and I knew in my heart that abortion was never an option for me and my unborn child. I wanted more for myself and for my child. I didn’t want to be another statistic and I definitely wanted my little girl to have a great life, one that I would have to struggle to give her. I didn’t really know about any of the adoption agencies in the area so I prayed for guidance. I first heard about Covenant Care through a nurse at the Health Department and then again later that week when it was Sanctity of Human Life Sunday at my church. God was throwing opportunity in my face and I would have been a fool not to take it. The next day I called Covenant Care and within an hour I heard the most beautiful and loving voice on the other line. My caseworker will always be a special part of my life and my journey.
