How does it work?
Join the Tri for Adoption team and choose any triathlon this year to represent Covenant Care in the race. Commit to raise $1,000 by the end of September. Most of us will be doing the Augusta half Ironman 70.3 in September 2018. For that race you can join a relay team and choose to swim (1.2 miles), bike (56 miles), run (13.1 miles), or do the whole race individually. Will I have support?
You will get support all along the way! The Covenant Care Tri for Adoption leaders will:
- Provide instructions on how/when to sign up for Augusta 70.3
- Help fill in your relay team slots
- Organize fundraisers
- Host team get-togethers
- Offer group swim, bike, and run training sessions
- Order Tri for Adoption jerseys if you choose to get one
- Answer any questions
What’s up with the money?
Last year we raised $27,000, and our overall team goal this year is $35,000. You’ll have an individual fundraising page that you can post on social media or email to friends and family. The money you raise enables Covenant Care to minister to birthmothers and lowers the fees for the adoptive parents.
What’s next?
E-mail our team captain, Julia Brown, at bobbyandjulia [at] yahoo [dot] com to let us know that you’re interested! Just by joining Tri for Adoption, you’ll receive a long sleeved Covenant Care t-shirt!
Thanks for helping us Tri for Adoption!
